Professional Supervision |

Appropriate professional consultation or clinical supervision is an
essential element to support the practice of professional psychology. A Member of the APS www.psychology.org.au College of Clinical Psychologists and the College of Forensic Psychologists, a Supervisor for both, and an Authorised Supervisor with the Psychology Board, as well as a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Dr Zuessman has provided clinical supervision in a variety of settings, and trained others to provide supervision. Dr Zuessman has also taught a range of post-graduate courses, including: “Abnormal Psychology: Psychopathology”; “Psychological Testing II: Objective and Projective Personality Assessment”; “Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning”; “Theories of Counselling”; “Theories of Psychotherapy”; “Counselling Skills Practicum”; “Techniques of Individual Counselling”; “Professional Psychology Internship 1, 2, & 3”; “Professional & Ethical Issues in Clinical Practice”; “Professional Seminar II (Practice & Ethics)”; “Group Counselling”; “Vocational Counselling”; “Career Theory and Management”; “Human Sexuality: Therapy & Techniques”; “Family Therapy”; “Structural Family Therapy”; “Mental Health Care Systems”; “Fundamentals of Research”.
With
an integrative theoretical orientation, grounded in existential and
humanistic psychology, drawing from psychodynamic, systemic,
interpersonal and cognitive-behavioural therapy approaches, Dr
Zuessman's specialties include: psychotherapy
with individuals, relationships, families, and groups; life transitions
around adolescence, mid-life and seniority; sexual identity,
orientation, dysfunction and paraphilia; psychometrics and personality
assessment; consultation to organizations; medico-legal and forensic
